We formed our business with the sole purpose of turning sustainable materials into unique furniture. As you may have guessed from the name, sustainability and reclamation are at the core of our business ethos.
Even before a hand is laid upon a saw or planer, we visit our trusted arborists and sawmills for reclaimed and sustainable wood to set each project apart. This way each customer will be safe in the knowledge that their furniture is not only a piece of quality craftsmanship, but also helped play an important role in British reforestation and arboriculture.
Once we have finalised the design process with the customer, we meticulously bring the table to life. Every beautiful detail is crafted and finished at our workshop in York. This enables us to consistently monitor quality throughout each build.
We encourage our clients to be involved throughout the process and we welcome our customers to view the progress of the build and to meet us if they can. We truly believe that a lasting personal relationship between the customer and maker is one of the huge benefits of low volume hand crafted furniture.
We recently worked out the impact of our own creations, from ‘Forest 2 Table’ we call it. Our average is 320 miles from source, to saw mill, to workshop to our customers house. A mass produced item from a large retailer imported from normally either Indonesia or China is, as the crow flies, 7500 miles!
